Our History
DNB Advisory LLC was formed in 2015, but its roots go back to the 1990s when its co-founder had the first experiences of what it’s like to be on the cutting edge of the industry, building high performance credit and lending teams. Since then, he focused on the goal of building best in class commercial banking functions, developing and experimenting with credit analysis models, credit and lending processes and workflows, operational efficiencies, focusing on profitability of commercial credit teams, and a slew of other innovative concepts.
Today, DNB Advisory continues to build on decades of this knowledge and thought leadership, bringing to our clients solutions that exceed their expectations and actually work. Our solutions and knowledge are becoming best practices and sought after concepts within commercial banking and commercial finance communities across the U.S.

Our team is represented by credit and lending professionals who have decades of experiences in various areas of commercial credit including underwriting and portfolio management, credit and lending team management, workout, credit administration, and executive leadership.
Neil Berdiev
Managing Partner and Founder
With over 20 years in business, mostly in financial services, Neil Berdiev’s career crosses several functional fields including general management and operations, risk management, financial/credit analysis, sales and business development, and training. He is recognized for significant contribution in commercial banking (lending and credit), airline operations, and training development industries. The overwhelming majority of Neil’s business experiences has been in creating new lines of business, turning around and bringing substantial improvements to existing operations, and bringing innovative ideas into organizations. One of Neil’s specialties is turnaround of underperforming teams or building brand new teams from the ground up, including specialty lending teams. He received an MBA from Babson College, graduate certificate from Harvard University, and undergraduate degree from Turkmen State with studies at Middlebury College.

Martha Higgins
Martha Higgins is an Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Boston Private Financial. Martha brings a wealth of experience in human capital strategy, workforce planning, overall workforce effectiveness, and talent development. Martha has been an invaluable partner to DNB Advisory LLC since its formation, as we develop a line of business focused on talent pipeline development and succession work within commercial banking and broader financial services.
Katy Tynan
Katy Tynan is a Founder of Liteskip Consulting Group and a Chief Talent Strategist at CoreAxis Consulting. Katy is an entrepreneur and consultant who works at the intersection of people and technology. She has been advising businesses and educational institutions on how to leverage technology for operational efficiency, growth, and strategic advantage for over 20 years. Katy has been a critical element in DNB Advisory LLC’s launch and growth, including in developing our advisory services and training & development arms.
